Everything you get for your 10%

You make the mail. For 10% of each payment, before sales tax, we run the rest. Here is what that covers, one question at a time. Each answer links to the longer one in our questions.

What does it cost?

10% of each payment, before sales tax, and the card fees come out of that, not out of your share. Once a club’s sales pass $5,000 in a calendar month, the fee on the rest of that month’s sales drops to 7%. There is no monthly fee and no setup fee.

Who is the seller, and who handles sales tax?

We are the seller. Sendero Origen, LLC d/b/a Good Post Co sells every membership, so working out sales tax, charging it, filing it and paying it to each state is ours. You never register for sales tax or file a return for your club.

This is general information, not tax, legal or financial advice. We do our best to get it right, but we can make mistakes and rules change. Check with your state’s tax agency or a qualified professional before you rely on it.

What happens when someone joins, renews or cancels?

A subscriber pays us at checkout, and we send the receipt, take each renewal and give the renewal notices the law asks for. They can skip a month, pause a monthly membership or cancel from their own account, with no password to remember. Cancelling is one click, and a letter they have already paid for still goes out.

Who deals with refunds and disputes?

We do. We decide refunds under our published policy, and we answer a bank dispute with the receipt, what the subscriber agreed to, the address the mail went to and the date you recorded it as sent. The only cost we pass on is the bank’s fee for a dispute, at exactly what Stripe charges us ($15 today).

How and when do I get paid?

We pay you for the mail you have sent. Once you record a month’s mailing as sent to at least 90% of your list, what your subscribers paid for that month goes to your bank in our next payout, and a year, a prepaid run or a gift is paid a share at a time, one for each mailing. Stripe holds your bank details, and we never see them.

Do I need my own website?

No. We host a page for your club with your logo, colours, photos and words, your plans and prices, and a way to join. If you already have a website, keep it and link to us for joining and paying. There are no ads and no trackers on any page your subscribers see.

Can I have tiers?

Yes. Each tier is its own monthly plan with its own price and description, such as “Letter” and “Letter + print”. Your studio counts how many of each tier you are sending, shows each subscriber’s tier, and prints labels and envelopes one tier at a time, so packing stays simple.

Can I print labels and envelopes from my studio?

Yes. Print address labels on Avery 5160, 5162 or 5163, return-address labels on Avery 5167, and envelopes in seven sizes from #6¾ to 9×12, plus the address side of a 4×6 postcard. You can also download a mail-merge spreadsheet for Word, Pages or Docs.

Can people buy my club as a gift?

Yes. Prepaid runs of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months can be sold as gifts: the buyer pays, and you post to the person it is for. Only the buyer can stop a gift, and any refund goes back to them.

Can I email my members and followers?

Yes. You write an update in your studio, and we send it from your club’s name to members who said yes and to followers: people who signed up on your page and confirmed by email. A short note before each mailing, with a sneak peek and the last day to join, works well. There is no tracking (no opens, no clicks) and nothing extra to pay: it is part of the percentage.

Can I limit how many members I take?

Yes. Set a limit in your studio, or choose “not taking new members right now”, and when every spot is taken your page says the club is full and stops taking sign-ups by itself. A full club can offer a waitlist: people join with their email address, confirm it, and hear when a spot opens. You can also show “3 spots left” on your page, always or only when a few are left.

Can I use AI to help make my mail?

Yes. We don’t check or monitor whether creators use AI, and we ask you to tell your subscribers when AI made a meaningful part of what you send, such as the writing or the art. An optional box on your club page in your studio makes that easy: tick “Some of what I send is made with help from AI” and your page says so in a plain line near what comes in the envelope. If your club has its own website, tell your subscribers there instead.

Is the list really mine?

Yes. You can download everyone who has ever subscribed, with their addresses, whenever you like, along with your waitlist and your updates list. It stays yours if you ever leave.
