Terms of Sale

Version 2026-10-15. Effective 1 October 2026.

These terms cover every club sold through Good Post Co, and the one digital product we sell. They are the agreement between you and us when you join a club or buy from us, and they are written to be read rather than skipped.

Who you are buying from

You are buying from Sendero Origen, LLC d/b/a Good Post Co, an Oklahoma limited liability company, at 3126 S Boulevard St #154, Edmond, OK 73013. You can reach us any time at support@goodpostco.com.

We are the seller. Not an agent for the creator, not a marketplace passing your money along. Good Post Co takes your payment, works out and collects any sales tax, sends your receipt, handles refunds and card disputes, and separately pays the creator for making the mail. Your contract for this purchase is with us.

The creator makes the mail. They write it, print it, pack it and post it, and the club is theirs — its name, its voice, what goes in the envelope. Where these terms say "the creator", they mean whoever runs the club you joined.

On your bank or card statement the charge reads GoodPost followed by a short version of the club's name. If you ever see a charge you do not recognise, email us before you call your bank — we can usually tell you what it was in a few minutes.

What you are buying

A membership in a club that sends you physical mail: letters, prints, stickers, postcards, or whatever else that club's page says it sends. One mailing per cycle, unless the club says otherwise.

What is in the envelope is up to the creator, and it changes from month to month — that is the point of a club. What does not change is how often it comes and what it costs. Both are on the page where you joined and on your receipt.

Clubs mail within the United States, including PO boxes, APO and FPO addresses, Puerto Rico and the other US territories. We do not ship outside the US yet. If that changes for a club, its page will say so before you buy.

Clubs with a limited number of members

Some clubs take only so many members. When one is full, its page says so and you can't join until a spot opens. When you continue to payment in a club like that, we hold a spot for you for 30 minutes while you pay. Nobody already in a club loses their membership because a limit is reached or lowered.

Very rarely, two people pay for the last spot at the same moment. Each club chooses what happens then: either both people become members, or the payment that reaches us second is refunded in full straight away, the membership is ended, and we email that person to say so.

Prices, and tax

The price you see at checkout is the price of the membership before tax. Sales tax, where the law requires it, is added as its own line at checkout and shown on your receipt. Because Good Post Co is the seller, that tax is ours to work out, collect and send on — the creator is not involved in it.

We charge tax in the states where we are registered to charge it. That list grows as we cross the thresholds each state sets. It is not something you have to track.

How you pay

Payment is by card, through Stripe: in Stripe's payment form on our checkout page, or on Stripe's own checkout page. We never see or store your card number. It goes from you to Stripe, and what comes back to us is a reference that lets us charge the card again for a renewal, and refund it, and nothing else. The card box on our checkout page is Stripe's, not ours, and what you type into it never reaches us.

We do not store your IP address, anywhere, for anything.

A receipt is emailed to you every time you are charged, and your receipts are in your account at https://goodpostco.com/account.

When it renews

Monthly and yearly memberships renew automatically until you cancel. Prepaid memberships and gifts do not renew at all — they run their term and stop.

The full renewal terms — the amount, how often, and how to stop it — are set out in the Auto-Renewal Disclosure further down this page, and you are shown them again, with your own price written in, on the checkout page before you pay.

If the price changes

The price you signed up at is the price you keep until we tell you otherwise. If a creator changes what their club costs, people who are already members stay on the price they agreed to until they are moved to the new one — and nobody is moved without 30 days' notice by email, with the new amount, the date it starts and a one-click way to cancel in that email. (Not more than 30 days either: some states count a notice sent earlier than that as no notice at all.)

If you do not want the new price, cancel before that date and you will never be charged it.

When your mail goes out

Every club has a cutoff day of the month and a ship day. Both are on the club's page and in your welcome email.

Join on or before the cutoff and you are in that month's mailing. Join after it and your first envelope is the next month's — that month's mail is already being printed and packed, and adding a name to it afterwards is not something a person with a pile of envelopes can do.

Mail goes out around the ship day and then travels at the post office's pace. We do not promise a delivery date, because nobody sending physical mail honestly can.

Your address

Your address is the most important thing you give us, and it is yours to change any time at https://goodpostco.com/account.

A change applies straight away to any mail that has not been posted yet. An address is only fixed to a piece of mail when the club records it as sent. Made after the club's cutoff day, a change may be too late for this month's envelope, which may already be addressed, so the next month's is the first one we can promise. Your account tells you which, in plain words, the moment you save it.

We ship exactly what you type. If an envelope goes to an old address because we were not told about the new one, that is not something we can refund — but tell us anyway, because we would rather sort it out than be right about it.

If something does not arrive

Tell us. Email support@goodpostco.com or ask from your account, and say which month it was.

If a mailing was sent and did not reach you, the club sends a replacement free — at least one per mailing, and some clubs allow more. One is enough for a genuine loss and not enough to be a second subscription. If a mailing was never sent at all, that is a refund, and the Cancellation & Refund Policy says so.

If an envelope comes back to us undelivered, we email you to check the address rather than cancelling anything. The post office does not get to end your membership.

If a club stops mailing

Creators are people, and now and then one stops — illness, a move, a business that did not work. If a club stops mailing what you paid for, we refund you for what you paid for and did not receive. You do not have to chase the creator. That part is between them and us, and it is written into our agreement with them.

If we have to close a club — for not mailing, for sending something that is not allowed, for fraud — we stop billing its members that day, refund what was paid for and not sent, and email everyone affected to say what happened in plain words.

Cancelling, and refunds

You can cancel any time, online, in one click, at https://goodpostco.com/account. No email, no phone call, nobody trying to talk you out of it.

Cancelling stops the next charge. The mail you have already paid for still comes. We do not take back something you have paid for.

When a refund is due, and when it is not, is set out in full in the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.

Gifts

A gift membership is bought by one person for another. The buyer is our customer: they pay, they get the receipt, they can change the address or cancel it, and a refund goes back to them. The person receiving the gift gets the mail.

The rest of it, including what happens when the recipient wants the address changed, is in the Gift Subscription Terms.

Digital products

We also sell one thing that is not mail: Jennifer D. Ashford's guide to starting a club, as a PDF. Buying it is a single payment of $14.99 plus any sales tax, and nothing renews. Everything above about who you are buying from, tax, paying by card and your IP address applies to it too. What is different:

  • You get it straight away. When your payment goes through you can download it, and we email you a link that works 5 times over 30 days. You can ask for a new link at any time after that, for as long as your purchase stands.
  • It is for you. Your copy has your name and email printed on every page, and you agree not to share, copy or resell it. The full licence is in the Guide Licence and Terms, which are part of these terms for that purchase and win over them where the two differ.
  • Refunds. Ask within 30 days of buying it for a full refund, no questions asked. A refunded copy's links stop working.

Nothing about the guide changes anything above about a club membership.

Your account, and who can join

There is no password. You sign in at https://goodpostco.com/account by asking for a link, which we email to you; it works once and then expires. Keep your email address current and your inbox to yourself, because anybody who can read your email can sign in as you.

You must be 18 or older to buy a membership. Nobody under 13 may be signed up as a subscriber, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child. A club bought for a child is bought and run by an adult, who is our customer and the person we deal with. If we find out a subscriber is under 13, we close the membership and refund whatever has not been mailed.

One membership per person per club, for yourself. You can buy as many gifts as you like.

What each of us is responsible for

We are responsible for taking your money correctly, for the receipt, for the tax, for refunding you when a refund is due, for keeping your address safe, and for doing the things these terms say we will do.

The creator is responsible for what is in the envelope. If you do not like this month's letter, that is a matter of taste rather than a fault, and it is not refundable — the same way a magazine you did not enjoy is not.

To the extent the law allows: our total liability to you, for anything connected with your membership, is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here takes away a right you have as a consumer that cannot be taken away.

The site and the clubs are provided as they are. We do not promise the site will never be down, or that a creator will never disappoint you. We do promise to fix what we can and refund what we cannot.

If we disagree

Email us first: support@goodpostco.com. Most things end there, quickly, and usually in your favour, because a refund costs us less than an argument.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Anything that has to go further goes to the state or federal courts sitting in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, and we both agree those courts may hear it.

Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. When we do, the new version gets a new version date at the bottom of this page, and the version you agreed to when you joined is recorded against your membership — so what you agreed to on the day does not quietly change underneath you.

If a change affects what you pay or how your membership renews, we email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before it does.

The rest of it

These terms, the Cancellation & Refund Policy, the Privacy Policy, the Auto-Renewal Disclosure and — if you bought a gift — the Gift Subscription Terms are the whole agreement between us about your membership. They replace anything said anywhere else.

If a court decides that one part of this cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.

We may transfer this agreement to another company if Good Post Co is sold or reorganised; your membership, your price and your rights come with it. You cannot transfer your membership to somebody else without asking us first, because it is tied to an address and a payment method.

Notices to you go to the email address on your account. Notices to us go to support@goodpostco.com, or by post to Sendero Origen, LLC d/b/a Good Post Co, 3126 S Boulevard St #154, Edmond, OK 73013.

Auto-Renewal Disclosure

Version 2026-11-02. Effective 1 October 2026.

This is the part about automatic charges. You also see it, with your own price written into it, on the checkout page before you pay — and you tick a box of its own to agree to it, separately from agreeing to the Terms of Sale.

What renews, and what does not

  • A monthly membership is charged today, and then the same amount every month, automatically, until you cancel. If you join a club before its first mailing, the first charge waits: see "A club that has not mailed yet" below.
  • A yearly membership is charged today, and then the same amount every year, automatically, until you cancel. The same exception applies.
  • A prepaid membership is charged once, today. It covers the number of months it says it covers, and then it stops. It does not renew, and you are not charged again.
  • A gift is always a prepaid term, so it does not renew: it runs its months and ends. See the Gift Subscription Terms.

The amount, and when

The amount is the one shown on the checkout page and on your receipt, plus sales tax where the law requires it. It does not change without notice — see "If the price changes" in the Terms of Sale.

The first charge is today. After that, the charge falls on the same date each month or each year, counting from today. We do not print that future date here because it is set at the moment your payment goes through, which is after you read this — but it is in your welcome email and on your account page, read straight from the payment system, as soon as there is a real date to give you.

A club that has not mailed yet

A club can take members before its first mailing goes out. If you join a monthly or yearly membership more than a month before the last day to join that first mailing, nothing is charged today. Your first payment is taken on that last day to join, which is just before your first letter is posted, and the checkout page shows you that date and the amount before you agree. After that, the charge falls on the same date each month or each year. Your card is saved when you join so that the first payment can be taken; if you cancel before that date, you are never charged.

If you join less than a month before that last day, you are charged today, as in any other club, and today's payment is for your first letter. Either way, you never pay twice for the same letter.

How to stop it

Sign in at https://goodpostco.com/account and click cancel. That is the whole thing. It takes one click, there is no phone number to call, no form to fill in, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.

You can also email support@goodpostco.com and we will do it for you, but you should not have to.

Cancelling stops every future charge. The mail you have already paid for still comes. Cancelling never takes back something you have already paid for.

Before a renewal, and after one

If you are on a yearly plan, we email you twice before each renewal, about five weeks and about three weeks ahead, with the amount, the date it will be charged, and a one-click way to cancel before then. A yearly charge is never a surprise.

Once a year, monthly members get a short reminder of what they pay and how to stop.

After every renewal charge, monthly or yearly, we email you what was charged, what it renews at, and a one-click way to cancel. Every charge of any kind also gets a receipt by email.

If the price is ever going to change, we email you 30 days before the new price starts, with the old and the new amount and a one-click way to cancel. See "If the price changes" in the Terms of Sale.

Free trials

We do not run free trials that turn into paid memberships. Every membership sold through Good Post Co is paid for from the first day. If that ever changes, the terms of the trial — what it costs afterwards, when the charge lands, and how to stop it — will be on the screen before you agree to anything.

What we record, and why

When you agree to this at checkout we record that you agreed, the date and time, and the version of these terms that was on the screen. That record is what lets either of us show, later, exactly what was agreed. We do not record your IP address; we do not need it.

The law behind this

This disclosure and the one-click cancel are how we meet the federal Restore Online Shoppers' Confidence Act (15 U.S.C. §8401 and following) and the state automatic-renewal laws, including California's Business and Professions Code §17600 and following, which is the strictest of them. We build to the strictest one and apply it to everybody, rather than working out which state you are in and giving you less.
